Abitibi-Bowater
and Medway River Salmon Association have reached agreement in principle
to carry out a land based liming project on 20.4 hectares of land at
Twin Bridges, Annapolis County. The land is below the headwaters of the
Medway River at Alma Lake and part of the land (4 hectares) is at the
confluence of the East and West Branches of the Medway River. The
remaining 16 hectares are on the southwest side of the West Branch.
Twin Bridges is just above the Bowater Base Camp.
The project will consist of the following steps:
